We are always delighted to welcome children and young people. They are fully part of the life of our Church. If you would like to ask about baptism, please contact the Minister. During the first three years, our First Steps secretaries, Mary and Dorothy Crawford, will keep in touch.
Children are welcome as soon as parents wish to bring them. You may bring babies into Church; if they are restless you can take them into the foyer where you can still hear the service on the loudspeaker. You are also welcome to take them to the creche in the Church Parlour where they are cared for during the morning service by our dedicated team.

Our Junior Church is for children aged 3 to 10. Our staff are fully trained for this work and offer teaching and activities suitable for each age-group. They meet in the Church Hall and join the congregation for part of the service. From time to time we offer preparation for children who - with their parents' agreement - would like to receive bread and wine at Communion. Those not yet prepared are welcome to receive a blessing.

When it does meet those who attend are year 7 of Comprehensive School age. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 10.30am to 11.30am in the CYA room. Here young people can develop and discuss their faith whilst making it relevant to the world in which they are growing up. The session includes Bible study, prayer, and activities appropriate to their age group.

Other activities are arranged for all young people in the Circuit. These include a residential weekend (BREAKOUT) with young people from all over the country.
Each year Confirmation Preparation is held when young people can explore their faith before making a life-long commitment to follow Jesus and be members of the Church.
